Canadian socialist IRONY DU JOUR: CBC calls Zimbabwe’s media “state-run” This morning, the state-run, state-owned CBC Newsworld state-media employed news anchor, Suhana Meharchand, referred to Zimbabwe’s “state-run news media” and how they are accusing the political opposition of treason. FutureNet Thoughts

Thu, 17 Apr 2008 19:31:11 PDT
I've been involved with the FutureNet conference (formerly MPLScon) since its inception in 2000. It's always been a conference focused on highly technical content....a LOT of highly technical content. I lost track of how many sessions we ran this year, but it was around 40-50. For me the highlight was the "Beer and Pizza Shootout" featuring some of the leading minds in Internet architecture including John Day, Mike O'Dell, John Curran, Dave Schaeffer, Stuart Elby, and Scott Bradner, with N

Kristy Lee Cook Leaves American Idol 2008

It's now down to the Top 6 in American Idol 2008.
Last night, and as expected, one of the girls was voted off the show and it was Oregonian Kristy Lee Cook!
Kristy and two other girls were in the danger zone yesterday ... they got the lowest number of votes for their not so good performances of Mariah Carey's songs the night before.
Kristy stood there, side by side with Syesha Mercado and Brooke White.
After her elimination, Kristy Lee playfully sat on the judges' table right in front of Simon Cowell and serenaded him with her performance of Mariah's song 'Forever'.

Next week, the Top 6 will battle it out with Phantom of the Opera composer Andrew Lloyd Webber! That's gotta be hard!
